Latest News Roger’s latest publication is due out in November. It is a new transcription for viola of Mozart’s B flat bassoon concerto, transposed into G major. It aims to provide a worthwhile alternative to existing classical concertos by Stamitz and Hoffmeister, and be useful for both solo performances and orchestral auditions. Go to www.partitura-verlag.com for more information.
Roger will conduct a new orchestra made up of Sydney Symphony fellowship holders from the last seven years in a special concert on 23rd November at Verbrugghen Hall in Sydney. Strauss and Mozart are on the program.
Roger will be in the studio in early December, with pianist Ian Munro, to record a Saturday session for ABC Classic FM. They will be playing works by Schumann and Rebecca Clarke. Broadcast date sometime in 2009…
